I’ve finally jump on the podcast train and am sharing my first time podcast favorites. These are all free so you can all give them a try yourself!
Dressed: This was the first podcast I listened to. It gives you the history of fashion from fashion designers, to the color pink or even where the fashion rules like wearing white after labor day came from. As a fashion lover, these episodes have been so interesting and have really expanded my understand of fashion to a much deeper level.
Mobituaries: Every Sunday Robert and I watch Sunday Morning which is is where I first heard of Mo Rocca. I even walked by him once on the streets of NYC but was so overwhelmed I forgot his name and couldn’t say hi (now I know how I will react when I meet famous people). I enjoy his way of story telling & his voice, which maybe sounds funny but when you’re listening to a podcast it makes sense!
The Daily: Is a podcast from the New York Times giving you the Daily news. I watch the news each morning as I get ready, and these 20-30 min episodes dig deeper into the biggest news happening now. If you are a news junky and enjoy knowing what is happening in the world as its happening, then try the Daily. It was recommended to me by a colleague, and I am so glad that she did!
Getting Curious: I’m obsessed with Queer Eye I even had the chance to see Tan France speak recently (and have bragged about non-stop!) so a podcast starring Jonathan Van Ness was a no brainer. If you love Jonathan then you’ll love listening to him host all kinds of intelligent people for deep conversations on government policies, current events and thought-provoking dialogues. He really is such a bright light!
